Where does our CBD come from?
HBHM use only the best quality Cannabidiol (CBD) Isolate, extracted from organically grown hemp plants in the USA, by one of the Global Leaders in Cannabinoids.
We work with growers who meet the highest standards and farming practices in the industry, ensuring the best quality of CBD is always achieved.
How is CBD extracted from the hemp plant?
There are numerous ways to extract CBD, including CO2 and steam extraction. At HBHM, we chose to work with suppliers who use USP Grade Isopropyl alcohol (IPA) for extraction – IPA is commonly known as the base for rubbing alcohol found in beauty and cosmetic products.
IPA is a safe way to extract the CBD and ensures that any other cannabinoids and terpenes are also removed.
The finished CBD product is always tested and manufactured in an ISO 9001 certified facility, to ensure any residual solvent are within the legal limits. All residual solvent and test results are captured on the Certificate of Analysis. (linked to Batch Report page)Why do we use CBD Isolate?
One of the most common questions we receive from our customers is – What is the difference between CBD Isolate and Distillate?
- CBD distillate is a whole plant extract that contains a wide range of cannabinoids and terpenes – many of which are unknown.
- CBD isolate is extracted from hemp and highly refined to include only CBD and below 0.2% THC.
We use Isolate in all our products so that our customers can be confident that they are always getting the purest form of CBD. Our Isolate has at least 98% potency and is compliant with CBD regulations.
How do we create our CBD Oils?
All of our CBD Oils are manufactured in the UK and third party laboratory tested, to ensure that they are always the best quality. The batch reports can be viewed here.
The CBD Isolate crystals are added to ethically sourced medium-chain triglyceride (MCT), which is fractioned from Coconut, and flavoured with 100% natural, sugar and sweetener free flavouring.
All of our 30ml Oils contain 1200mg CBD which equates to 40mg per 1ml pipette. Our pipettes are clearly marked to ensure our customers know exactly how much CBD they are consuming.
